Centre-Surface Contact Winding
The roll is formed using a centre-surface contact arrangement. Assess web contact, winding firmness and the acceptable finished-roll structure against your actual substrate.
SLITTING & REWINDING · QFJ-C400
Review centre-surface contact winding for film, composite webs, aluminium foil and paper. The C400 combines separate servo control for each winding shaft with a listed 400 m/min speed and 600 mm finished-roll diameter.

Listed configuration values. Production speed and practical slit pattern depend on the material and the agreed machine setup.
Start with the C400 when centre-surface contact winding is relevant to the finished roll you need. The winding contact, web sensitivity and narrow-lane requirements should be reviewed together. The separate-layout configuration shown here lists a larger parent-roll diameter than the connected-layout version.
CONSTRUCTION & CONTROL
The roll is formed using a centre-surface contact arrangement. Assess web contact, winding firmness and the acceptable finished-roll structure against your actual substrate.
Each winding shaft uses a separate servo motor. The configuration lists four sets of servo control, with drive entries varying by working width.
The 1,300 mm configuration lists a 5 mm minimum slit, while the 1,800 mm configuration lists 10 mm. Select the width and slit pattern together rather than applying one minimum across all versions.
The separate layout lists a 1,200 mm parent-roll diameter. A connected-layout C400 lists 800 mm, with a 600 mm finished diameter. Identify the layout explicitly in your request.

MATERIAL & FINISHED ROLL
Specify film grade, thickness and any surface treatment or coating. Confirm that winding contact suits the surface and finished-roll requirement.
Describe layers, contact sensitivity and required edge condition. Review cutting and rewinding as one process, especially for narrow lanes.
Provide grade, grammage, width and roll dimensions. Include dust, coating marks and winding firmness among the trial checks where relevant.
WIDTH & DRIVE CONFIGURATIONS
| Parameter | 1300 configuration | 1800 configuration |
|---|---|---|
| Unwinding width | 1,300 mm | 1,800 mm |
| Listed slitting speed | 400 m/min | 400 m/min |
| Minimum slit width | 5 mm | 10 mm |
| Parent-roll diameter · separate layout | 1,200 mm | 1,200 mm |
| Parent-roll diameter · connected layout | 800 mm | 800 mm |
| Finished-roll diameter | 600 mm | 600 mm |
| Main servo power | 5.5 kW | 5.5 kW |
| Rewinding servo power | 2 × 4 kW | 2 × 4 kW |
| Unwinding servo power | 5.5 kW | 7.5 kW |
Drive powers are individual motor entries, not the total installed electrical load. Confirm voltage, frequency, utilities, roll weight and core interfaces with the proposed supply. Required material thickness and production tolerances are application-specific.
SETUP, OPERATION & ACCEPTANCE
Define parent-roll dimensions, weight and the available floor plan. Select separate or connected construction against loading and installation needs.
Match the working width and slit pattern. Confirm the blade arrangement and lane handling using the actual web.
Assess contact conditions and finished-roll firmness. Include surface marking or compression limits where they affect downstream use.
Inspect slit width, edge condition, roll build and how the finished rolls unwind. Agree the trial speed and conditions before evaluating the result.
Review the floor plan, service clearance, roll-handling route and utilities before installation. Agree commissioning and operator-training requirements with the proposal. Keep the machine identification, shaft interfaces and blade dimensions available for maintenance and spare-part inquiries.
Compare C400 with C200 when reviewing centre-surface layouts and control requirements: C200 uses magnetic-powder tension control for the winding shafts and lists 200 m/min. A500 and B500 use differential-shaft arrangements instead. Compare contact conditions and the intended roll structure when choosing between winding principles.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
The 1,300 mm configuration shown lists 5 mm; the 1,800 mm configuration lists 10 mm. Material and cutting conditions must also support the required lane pattern.
The separate layout lists 1,200 mm, while the connected layout lists 800 mm. Confirm the selected layout in the proposal and match it to the incoming roll.
Contact suitability depends on coating, friction, marking sensitivity and winding requirements. Assess a representative material before confirming the configuration.
Include web construction and thickness, working width, number of lanes, each slit width, finished core and diameter, edge requirements and the intended next process.
MATERIAL & PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Compare material requirements and winding formats before defining the final machine configuration.
QUOTATION & SUPPLY SCOPE
Request a QFJ-C400 quotation against your material, working width and finished-roll targets. Identify the selected version, cutting and winding arrangement, loading equipment and controls in the proposed supply.
Ask for standard equipment and optional items to be listed separately. Include commissioning, operator training, documentation and initial spare-part requirements in the discussion.
Provide quantity and destination. Confirm price, currency, delivery basis, packing, production schedule and any excluded freight or import charges in the quotation.
Agree representative material inspection, measurement criteria and supplied configuration before ordering. Confirm warranty terms, installation responsibilities and spare-part support with the proposal.
