Separate Unwind Layout
The unwind section is physically separated from the main converting section. Review the machine drawing and threading route to establish the space between sections, maintenance clearance and the incoming-roll access.
SLITTING & REWINDING · QFJ-AF400
Review a horizontal configuration for larger parent and finished rolls. The AF400 combines air-shaft rewinding and separate servo control with a listed 400 m/min speed, 1,200 mm parent-roll diameter and 1,000 mm finished-roll diameter.

Listed configuration values. Production speed and practical slit pattern depend on the material and the agreed machine setup.
Start with AF400 when large finished rolls and a separate unwind section are important to the production layout. Compare roll weight, loading access and the finished-roll removal route alongside working width. A larger roll envelope can reduce the frequency of roll changes, but the complete handling plan still needs to suit the installation.
CONSTRUCTION & CONTROL
The unwind section is physically separated from the main converting section. Review the machine drawing and threading route to establish the space between sections, maintenance clearance and the incoming-roll access.
Air-expanding shafts grip the finished-roll cores, with separate servo control for each winding shaft. Specify core dimensions, roll weight and shaft interfaces together; the diameter values alone do not define the permitted load.
Chain unloading is listed for the large-roll configuration. Confirm the unloading arrangement against finished-roll mass, removal height and the transport method used at the next process.
The range includes 1,300, 1,600 and 1,800 mm unwinding widths. Main and unwind drive ratings change on the widest configuration, so the electrical review should use the selected width version.
MATERIAL & FINISHED ROLL
Provide paper grade, grammage, slit widths and winding firmness. Include dust and edge condition where the finished rolls feed printing, packaging or another converting operation.
PVC, BOPP, CPP, PET and composite films require review of thickness, stretch and surface contact. Define the construction and finished-roll quality before agreeing the cutting and winding setup.
Identify foil grade, temper, thickness and acceptable edge condition. Review the required cut and roll build on representative material rather than applying paper settings to foil.
WIDTH & DRIVE CONFIGURATIONS
| Parameter | 1300 configuration | 1600 configuration | 1800 configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unwinding width | 1,300 mm | 1,600 mm | 1,800 mm |
| Listed slitting speed | 400 m/min | 400 m/min | 400 m/min |
| Minimum slit width | 30 mm | 30 mm | 30 mm |
| Parent-roll diameter | 1,200 mm | 1,200 mm | 1,200 mm |
| Finished-roll diameter | 1,000 mm | 1,000 mm | 1,000 mm |
| Main servo power | 5.5 kW | 5.5 kW | 7.5 kW |
| Rewinding servo power | 2 × 5.5 kW | 2 × 5.5 kW | 2 × 5.5 kW |
| Unwinding servo power | 5.5 kW | 5.5 kW | 7.5 kW |
Drive powers are individual motor entries, not the total installed electrical load. Confirm voltage, frequency, utilities, roll weight and core interfaces with the proposed supply. Required material thickness and production tolerances are application-specific.
SETUP, OPERATION & ACCEPTANCE
Record parent-roll width, diameter, weight and core, then review the approach route and clearance at the separate unwind.
Confirm web guidance, tension requirements and blade positions using the intended material and lane pattern.
Check core engagement, roll firmness and lane behaviour through the diameter build. Include roll stability and edge appearance in the trial.
Agree the unloading sequence, receiving equipment and operator access. Inspect finished width, roll formation and suitability for downstream unwinding.
Review the floor plan, service clearance, roll-handling route and utilities before installation. Agree commissioning and operator-training requirements with the proposal. Keep the machine identification, shaft interfaces and blade dimensions available for maintenance and spare-part inquiries.
Compare AF400 with A400 using the complete layouts and matched specifications: both configurations shown list 400 m/min and a 1,000 mm finished diameter. AF500 uses differential-shaft rewinding and lists a smaller 600 mm finished diameter at 500 m/min. Choose between roll requirements and winding construction before comparing speed.
BEFORE YOU SPECIFY
The table compares 1,300, 1,600 and 1,800 mm unwinding widths. Include the actual web width, edge trim and roll weight when selecting a version.
The specification table lists a 1,200 mm parent-roll diameter and 1,000 mm finished-roll diameter. Specify both dimensions separately in your requirement.
The listed configuration describes air-shaft winding and chain unloading. Any nonstop changeover, turret or automatic cutting function must be explicitly defined in the proposed machine scope.
Agree material, slit pattern, speed and roll dimensions. Inspect edge quality, finished width, winding firmness and the planned unloading procedure.
MATERIAL & PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Compare material requirements and winding formats before defining the final machine configuration.
QUOTATION & SUPPLY SCOPE
Request a QFJ-AF400 quotation against your material, working width and finished-roll targets. Identify the selected version, cutting and winding arrangement, loading equipment and controls in the proposed supply.
Ask for standard equipment and optional items to be listed separately. Include commissioning, operator training, documentation and initial spare-part requirements in the discussion.
Provide quantity and destination. Confirm price, currency, delivery basis, packing, production schedule and any excluded freight or import charges in the quotation.
Agree representative material inspection, measurement criteria and supplied configuration before ordering. Confirm warranty terms, installation responsibilities and spare-part support with the proposal.
